In 2012 Chris Guillot founded Merchant Method, a retail consultancy that provides her signature training and operational systems to retailers, e-commerce platforms, makers, and manufacturers. Her Seattle-area client list includes Ada’s Technical Books and Café, Pretty Parlor, Twilight Gallery and Boutique, and Velouria.
In addition to her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business where she concentrated in New and Small Business Management, she has 17 years of experience in the retailing and manufacturing of women’s and men’s fashion apparel, women’s accessories, branded and private label handbags, stationery and gifting products, and personal care. Her national career includes working with Anthropologie, J. Crew, Nordstrom, Gap Inc. (Gap and Banana Republic), Estée Lauder (Origins Natural Resources), Spiegel, Chelsey Henry, and the Green Inspired brand (exclusively for Target).
