Sunday food for thought: Silicon Valley has only increased diversity in technical staff very incrementally, only 5% of technical positions are filled with black and latino engineers though they make up 18% of computer science grads. "Today, only about five per cent of employees in executive roles at tech companies are black and Latino. In addition, black and Latino tech workers are more likely than others to leave the industry within a decade; nearly half of women, of all races, also leave within ten years. (The rate of attrition for men, on the same time scale, is seventeen per cent.)"
