I was recently at my favorite art supply store in my neighborhood, Brooklyn Artist's & Craftsman Supply. I love this store, it is so dynamic and has so much more than art supplies. I also noticed that they really retain their staff, which is always a good sign. I noticed that they are Employee Owned. It is my dream to have a place that has profit-sharing for employees in the future. The company is only a baby in the business world, but I would love to know what the steps are to make this a reality. Does anyone have any resources or experience working for or running an employee-owned company?
