Here are some questions from today's teleconference and the FAQ for the project is in the link below!
Teleconference Town Hall Meeting Minutes
Q. Who is responsible for "deciding" on the streetcar project and how can a concerned citizen voice their opinion about the streetcar?
A. The issue will eventually go to council, so you can contact your local council person.
Q. Will the streetcar be seamlessly integrated with metrocards?
A. Ideally yes, that is the plan
Q. How will the service be to places like Red Hook compare to the bus service which drops off at night as well as weekends?
A. *The plan is to connect to 15 different lines, and 32 buses using the BQX.
Q. How do you plan to make the connection over Newtown Creek from Long Island City to North Brooklyn?
A. We are proposing a new bridge for cycling, pedestrians and the streetcar.
Q. Where is the street car route going to go through Brooklyn Heights?
A. None of the routes currently go through Brooklyn Heights currently; there are several routes being considered. Key factors in determining routes are where people want to go, need to go for employment.
*That's all I took down because I had a customer but I am sure someone more official will document!
