Ballard Chamber of Commerce
Ballard is one of the most distinctive neighborhoods in Seattle, complete with a colorful history and significant ties to the economic vitality of the city. Once known as the “Shingle Capital of the World,” Ballard today is both a sophisticated urban neighborhood and home to numerous industrial and maritime businesses. From fishing to manufacturing, these businesses continue to provide living-wage jobs and help define the character of our neighborhood, as they did 100 years ago.
The Ballard Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest and strongest in Seattle. Since 1927, this organization has been a constant voice for businesses and the community at large.
In addition to offering promotional and networking opportunities, the Chamber plays a critical role in community engagement and advocacy in order to advance the interests of Ballard businesses and the broader community. The Chamber also provides opportunities throughout the year to join with Chamber members and others to help support various community- and charity-based events and causes.
The growth and popularity of Ballard as a place to live, work, and play over the last decade has been unprecedented. To keep pace with change, and to stay ahead of the needs of a quickly evolving community, local business and community leaders in partnership with the Ballard Chamber of Commerce have formed an organization, the Ballard Partnership, that is building a framework for the future.
