Greenwich Village Chelsea Chamber of Commerce
Since it was established over 60 years ago, the Greenwich Village-Chelsea Chamber of Commerce (GVCCC) has served as the leading voice for businesses in the Greenwich Village, Chelsea, SoHo, NoHO, Union Square, Flatiron and East Village communities. The strength of the organization lies in its diversity. The Chamber brings together unique individuals and businesses, and forms one strong voice, while representing many.
Founded in 1949 by a select group of small business entrepreneurs in Greenwich Village, the Chamber is now hundreds of members strong. In the beginning, the Chamber was just a few dozen businesses banding together. Today, they are proud of their membership, which ranges from sole proprietorships to locally owned independent businesses, to major institutions and organizations.
The Chamber addresses business issues through a number of benefits and services, including networking opportunities, business and educational seminars, government advocacy, and marketing and promotional campaigns. By providing dynamic business and civic leadership in New York City, the Greenwich Village Chelsea Chamber of Commerce has positioned themselves as the leading voice for business in the communities they serve. The Chamber accomplishes its mission by embracing four key words: advocate, educate, network and promote.
