Since the the Park Slope 5th Avenue BID’s founding in 2009, its principal aim has been to promote and maintain 5th Avenue’s bustling commercial avenue—with a special emphasis on sanitation services, business assistance initiatives, and community events. The Park Slope 5th Avenue BID is a non-profit organization made up of property owners, commercial tenants, local elected officials, and residents who are dedicated to making 5th Avenue a better place to live, work, and shop. Funding for the BID’s activities are largely generated by a special tax assessment paid for by property owners within the district.
