Townsquared Announces Partnership with Bay Area Small Business Development Centers
We are excited to announce our new partnership with the San Francisco and Alameda County Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs). Together we are launching the Business Advisor Program, a collaboration that will give our online network of thousands of small business owners direct access to certified business advisors.
“The San Francisco SBDC is excited to partner with Townsquared to impact more small businesses in San Francisco,” said Angel Cardoz, Director of San Francisco Small Business Development Center. “Our aim is to foster long-term sustainability and business growth by developing and implementing new initiatives that help small business owners access free, expert advice and other resources through the Townsquared platform.”
SBDCs are administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and their services are offered at zero cost to business owners through government funds. Every year, SBDCs across the country assist approximately one million entrepreneurs through their network. There are nearly 1,000 locations across the country that provide resources, trainings, and specialized one-on-one consulting for small business professionals.
SBDC business advisors are experts in their fields and advise on a variety of topics including: sales and marketing, social media, human resources, tax planning, cash flow management, access to capital, etc. Business owners can schedule individual appointments to meet with SBDC business advisors for customized consulting. As a direct result of this partnership, Townsquared members can always ask business advisors from the SBDC questions online at any time and get answers quickly and conveniently.
“Townsquared has opened access to our Small Business Development Center for a sizable, local small business community,” said Lee Lambert, Director of the Alameda County SBDC. “This partnership has enabled deeper engagement and rapid feedback on a variety of business topics, and we are pleased with the quality of the dialogue on the Townsquared platform.”
We are proud to work with local SBDCs to ensure that Townsquared members are receiving the best information from trusted sources. Our relationship with local SBDCs allows Townsquared members to get advice from local experts, in addition to their small business peers, so they can be confident they are making the right business decisions.
